Composer/lyricist/singer (thoroughly grounded fine arts oriented person) seeking a man to share a friendship first and then the spark of romance. You should be educated about many phases of music - both Classical and the phases of popular in the last 200 years. I love impressionistic music, Les Six, Stravinsky, The American Tonal composers of the 1920 through the 1970s, Minimalist composers, Arvo Part and the new spiritual composers. What I don't love are the atonal composers. Give me rare Beethoven and Schubert over their major works. Poulenc, Sibelius. BRAHMS. Too many composers to mention.

What about painters and paintings? Again - no passion for abstract expressionists. Prefer Surrealists, pop art, photo-realism, hyper-realism and more. Your favorites?

Poets - Frank O'Hara, Kenneth Fearing, Charles Henri Ford, Charles Bukowski.

You may have gathered I'm a 20th/21st century kind of man. Always looking for something new to learn from. So activities for me would be going to concerts, plays, art openings, and museums. But first:

Ultimately: Benjamin Britten found Peter Pears, Francis Poulenc found Pierre Bernac, Jennifer Higdon found Cheryl Lawson in High School - each composer found their soulmate. Even Richard Strauss found one in Josephine his wife. I hope to find mine.

There is also the matter of physical attractiveness. I fall into the slightly out of shape "muscle-bear category" - an otter with a beard, or other hairy man would be welcome.
